[PRAYERS ANSWERED]

I have had a very long past few days. My Nanny had her surgery on Thursday the 28th. It was a very long and scary day. She has a bypass and her aortic valve replaced. Everything went very well with that and the doctor said that everything went as planned and nothing happened that was unexpected. That was until they gave her the platelets to make her blood colt... she had a VERY bad allergic reaction to them and her heart and lungs stopped. But they were able to resuscitate her and then everything was ok. The doctor said it was a very scary and tense few minutes. It was very hard to hear that when the doctor came in to talk to us after the surgery was done. I just had to go somewhere and I broke down. I just didnt want to do it in front of everybody else. It was just the fact that she almost died and that was VERY VERY scary for me! So then there was the question of if her blood was going to clot on its own or if they were going to have to figure out something else to do because obviously the platelets were NOT an option. Luckily within about 2 hours or so of her coming out of surgery she was already clotting on her own! That was such a good thing to hear. Because if she didnt then the doctor would have had to take her back to the operating room because if she didnt clot that would mean that she was still bleeding inside and he would have had to go back in to clean it all out but they didnt have to do that because she was doing great! She had a very good night the first night. They still had her on the ventilator through the night but they took her off of it yesterday afternoon and she came right off it! They told us at first that nobody would be able to see her yesterday that they just wanted her to rest but the nurse called and said that she was awake, sitting up in her chair, eating a popsicle and asking for us to come see her!! So we went up there to see her and she looks so good except for some swelling, which is expected, and she was very alert and talking and everything! The only thing that she complained about was that her back hurt from being in the same position for so long and that her mouth and throat we very dry. I feel so bad for her because I know that is not fun. But I am soooooo glad that she is doing so good! Even the doctor and nurses were shocked at how good she is doing! God has truly answered our prayers! And I know that he will continue to answer them and watch over Nanny while she recovers! We are going to see her this afternoon and I cant wait!

On a different note... Chaz will be home Tuesday!! Only 2 more days!! I cant wait!! His flight is supposed to land in Augusta at 12:30pm! He has a 2 hour layover in Charolette but maybe that wont be to bad for him. I am so ready for him to be home and now it is so close. I just hope it goes by fast.

[RAiN RAiN]

Im so tired of this rain, and Im REALLY tired of the thunder and lightening! I very much dislike thunderstorms and thats all that has been going on ever since I got home. The 5 day forecast doesnt look so good either... rain for the next 5 days... blah : \

Guess what? I havent done anything fun or interesting the past few days... surprise surprise! haha. But here it is anyway... Sunday I went to church and then everybody went to Nana and Pape's house to have a cookout for Nana's birthday. It was so much fun and luckily the rain held off until we were done. :) So then me and Mamma drove her car over to the new house. As we got out and started to walk up the driveway we heard a noise... well guess what it was!? Mamma's car locked the keys in its self!!! It was crazy! So then of course we were stuck at the new house and then it decided to start pouring down rain and thundering and lightening like you have never heard before! NOT fun! But Trey finally brought Mamma her other set of keys from home. So needless to say... that was a very interesting experience. Then on Monday I decided that I would go shopping for once! haha. I went to Horsetown and got me and Chaz some new clothes. I was fun and it was nice to just get out of the house! And that was pretty much the extent of my Sunday and Monday.

Well we are in the final stretch of Chaz being in Philadelphia! He will officially be home on June 2. I am SOOO excited! He has been gone for 42 days and now he will be home in less than a week. I didnt think that it would ever get here. It seems like he has been gone forever! But Im sure that it will seem like this week is going to last forever. I just cant wait for him to finally be home with me! He said that he is ready for a good home cooked meal! haha. So the official countdown... 6 days :)

Thursday will be a very long day... my Nanny is having open heart surgery. I am taking off work so that I will be able to go up to the hospital. It is a 7 hour surgery but Im sure that it will feel like 70 :( So please be thinking about and praying for my Nanny.

On another note... I know this is probably REALLY boring stuff that I write about on here than nobody really cares about. Most people write about their kids on here and all of that fun stuff but we cant do that yet. I just thought that it would be neat to have this so that one day our kids will be able to look back and see what our lives were like before we had them and how my pregnancies were with them... because I will definitely be writing a lot once I get pregnant and have a baby. So for now... I guess its just going to have to be boring. So I guess one day our kids will get to see what boring lives we had without them! haha. :)

[A DiFFERENT KiND OF SATURDAY]

Its Saturday, I usually just go to the new house and work with Daddy and Mamma but I actually had a very busy day today that didnt involve going to the new house. First thing this morning I had to take Cam to the vet but not because he was sick, this time he just had to go for his regular check-up, a few tests and 2 shots :( poor baby. But he was such a good boy! Usually he is not very nice at the vet and has been known to try to bite but he didnt try to bite anybody today. I was so proud of him! So everything went very well and our little boy is healthy and is a whopping 10.2 pounds!! He is getting so big! Which I think is pretty funny when I think about Katelyn and how she is almost 4 months old and she doesnt weigh as much as Cam. But I am just glad that he is perfectly healthy!
After I got back from taking Cam to the vet I got started making a homemade caramel cake with homemade caramel icing for Nanna's birthday get-together tomorrow. I have never made that kind of homemade cake before so it took me a little longer than usual. I just hope that it is good :)
After I finished that I made charleston cheese for our neighborhood get together. A couple of weeks ago I got an invitation stuck on the mailbox about a neighborhood get together and I decided that I would go since I am here by myself most of the time lately I thought that it would be nice to meet people who live here. It was so much fun! Mamma went with me too so that I wouldnt have to go by myself since Chaz is not home yet. I wish he could have been home so that he could go. But hopefully they will do it again when he is home. There was a lot of people there and everybody was so nice. I met a couple there the are a lot like me and Chaz and I talked to them a lot and we said that when Chaz gets home that we should get together and grill out or something so I am looking forward to that.
Now I am home and just trying to relax. Im not very good at that lately because my knee hurts so much I cant even sit on the couch without it hurting, it is pretty much just a constant pain these days. As a lot of you know I had an accident with a horse 5 years ago and I really messed up my knee. I did physical therapy and everything when it first happened and it helped for a little while. Eventually my knee started giving me problems again and I ended up going through physical therapy 2 more times with no improvements. So in March of 2007 I had surgery. It helped for a few months but then it was back to the way it used to be but with 3 more scars. Ive been just dealing with it since then but about a month it was getting to be to bad and the other knee was starting to give me problems too so decided that it was time to go to a new orthopedic surgeon who is in Athens. I went to him the first time at the beginning of this month. Since my first visit I have x-rays, a MRI and exercises that I have to do. Well my x-rays and MRI showed nothing which Dr. Robinson said is a good thing but is also a bad thing : \ Its a bad thing because there is obviously something wrong because I am in so much pain but he cant see anything from neither the x-rays or the MRI. That would be my luck. So I went back this past Monday and he gave me more exercise and put me on Celebrex. Im a little weary of the Celebrex because it is a NSAID (nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug) and I had problems with another drug that was in the class but right after I took it it was taken off of the market. So I hope that this one will not give me problems like the other one but so far it is not causing me any problems. But... so far Im not sure if it is working either. I thought that it was working the first couple of days because I was not in as much pain as i had been being in, but then the past 3 days both of my knees have been killing me! I hope that it just has to do with the weather because they usually act up more when we have nasty weather like we have been having the past few days. So maybe it will start working better once this nasty weather decides to go away. I just want my knees to be fixed, if they causing me this much pain now I dont even want to know how much they are going to hurt when I get older if I dont have something done to fix them.
Now for an update on Chaz. He should be home next weekend. For the past week he has been working very long hours, 6:30am-midnight, almost everyday. Their deadline is the 27th but then they have to clean up everything and clean out the offices. Then on Friday they are going to have a big cookout and everything for everybody to get together before they all leave. So I hope that since they will be doing all of that by Friday that he will get to fly home Saturday morning. I am so ready for him to come home!
Well I guess thats about it for today. It just started raining... again. I will be glad when this yucky weather is gone too. I hope everyone has a good night!

[US]

I have discoverd that blogging is the thing to do these days so I decided that I might as well get one so that everybody can keep up with us since we have family in different states. So here is a little catch up...
Me and Chaz met on December 10, 2006 and by December 13 we were inseperable. December 13 was the day that we became a couple... kind of fast I know but look where we are now :) Im sure a lot of people already know this story but here is a shorter version for those of you who dont. It all started when we were heading home from ABAC for Christmas break and Chaz's friend Justin (who introduced us by the way) called me and asked if I wanted to go to the creek with him and Chaz that they were going to take Chazs truck down there. So Walnut Creek in Macon is where Chaz got his truck very very stuck and we spent all night into the wee hours of the morning getting it out. After 3 broke chains, a brand new $6000 motor full of water and the indention of a chain down the side of the bed... our lives together began. Our life together has only gotten better and better ever since that faitful night at Walnut Creek.
We got engaged on October 16, 2007 and got married on October 18, 2008. These days we live in Good Hope. I work full time as a Pharmacy Tech at Putnam General Hospital and part time at Walton Regional Medical Center and Im still a full time student, but I hope to graduate in less than a year. Chaz works for Energy Source Inc. He is currently in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been there since the end of March :( so we have not seen eachother in almost 2 months and it has been very hard but what doesnt break us will only make us stronger in the end. He should actually be coming home at the end of next week for 3 weeks and then he will probably be going to Florida. Most people like to write about their kids on here but as of right now the only kids that we have meow :) but we will hopefully have a baby in the near future. We both cant wait to be parents but we are just waiting for the right time... which we have actually already decided but its a surprise!! But about our little meowing kids, Cam, who is now 1 and a half years old was a Christmas present to me from Chaz in 2007. He is truely like a child to me and I love him more than anything and so does Chaz!! He even talks to Chaz on the phone since he has been away. Our other baby, Ellie, is 9 months old. I adopted her in October when I started working full time and Cam was lonely being by himself at home all day. She is a crazy girl and is always into somthing! We love her so much too and she and Cam love to play and they rule the house.
We have been wanting to move for a while but we have just recently decided that we are going to buy some land and build a house. So now we are getting into all of that. We are both very excited though. We also have 4 cows and probably 2 more on the way by now, but they are currently in Florida on Chaz's uncle's farm. So we are trying to buy our land ASAP so that we can get them up here before the new babies are born.
So as you can probably tell... our lives are pretty crazy right now! But I could not have ever asked for a better husband and best friend.
Welcome to the great life of the Gibson Family :)
